Sorry that I am writing this in english but unfortunately I don't speak chinese nor am I able to read it (google translater FTW!)

Is it possible that it is only your particular sample that performs so horribly?
Or is it a general issue with the new Haswells?
I heard the temperatures are even worse than those of Ivy Bridge, can you confirm that?
I would also like to know if those voltages that CPU-Z reports are even real.
If that is the case what would be the average overclock (with reasonable voltage) one could expect from the i7 4770K (Hyperthreading enabled)?

So many question, sorry ;em03;

I and a few thousand other hardware enthusiasts would be very happy to get some answers!

at first
this is the 4770k retail box,not sample ,as you saw
i can't tell you that is it a general issue?or not
if you can hold it in this moment you shall know
about the temperature of the 4770k
i am sure it is very very hot
even more then the temperature of the 3770K in my case
CPU-Z Voltage is real, same as BIOS setting
HT already when 5GHz Vcore 1.58v around for water cooled
and just can do simply benchmark only
(i hope u can understand my ugly engelish, and welcome to www.coolaler.com )XD

thank you!

So did u already consider delidding it?
Might be worth it!
By the way did you measure the voltage with a multimeter/voltmeter?
Just to be sure....
(English is not my native language, so do not worry about the language!
I am happy about every response although I must admit that I am a little disappointed that Haswell is not a good overclocker.
Thanks for the welcoming!)

With Ivy Bridge it was possible to bring the temperature down a whopping 20°C.
What made that possible was the reduction of the gap between DIE and IHS (or simply the removal of the IHS)
The very high temperature of your chip(s?) may very well be an indicator of the same issue.
In case you did not know about that I would recommend you to read through this outstanding thread at AnandTech's:

http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2261855

You mentioned that your chipS suck, does that mean that you have multiple 4770Ks and the all performe the same?
That would indeed suck!

I would be interested in the temperatures under load @Stock and @5GHz, I am also interested in your water cooling setup.
A coretemp screenshot (or a similar programm) would be perfect.

Oh by the way, did you read that?:
http://diy.pconline.com.cn/329/3297240_6.html

Maybe YOUR 4770K is just one bad CPU after all.
Apparently 4.7GHz is possible at 1.17V.

Damn I would really like to see the results of a delidded Haswell.
2 1/2 weeks to go until those Haswells are available in europe.
