A new range of boards
We told you about DFI's plans to relase a mATX CrossFire board back in January and now we've had some more solid information about the product, but it seems like DFI is working on a full range of mATX motherboards to cater to a wide range of users.
The series will be called BI, although we're not sure what it stands for as yet, but it appears to be part of DFI's Lanparty series of products. The P45 board will feature a pair of x16 PCIe slots, although due to chipset limitations, the bandwidth is only x8 when both slots are used. It will also have a x1 PCIe slot and a PCI slot. The board will also feature four memory slots for DDR2 memory, six SATA connectors, six rear USB 2.0 ports with headers for another six, Gigabit Ethernet and 7.1-channel HD audio.
There will also be a P43 version, although due to the P43 chipset lacking support for CrossFire, one of the x16 slots will be replaced by a x1 slot. Apart from that, the two boards will be more or less identical in terms of features.
DFI is also working on an AMD 780G board with the SB700 Southbridge. This board will have a single X16 PCIe slot, a x1 PCIe and a PCI slot. It will also have six SATA connectors, six rear USB 2.0 ports with headers for another four, Gigabit Ethernet and 7.1-channel HD audio.
It looks like DFI is working on some very interesting boards for those that are looking for a more compact gaming system, but still wants a high-end motherboard. The P45 chipset cannot, of course, compete with the X48 chipset, but it still looks like a solid alternative for those looking for a mATX CrossFire system.

其中DFI規劃中的Intel P45主板的規格得到了曝光。Intel P45提供2個PCI-E x16插槽，但由于芯片組的限制，僅能實現雙x8帶寬的交火模式。主板還提供PCI-E x1插槽和PCI插槽。主板支持DDR2內存規格，6個SATA接口，6個USB接口，板載還提供另外6個USB擴展口，提供千兆網卡和7.1聲道音頻輸出功能。
DFI同樣也在規劃Intel P43系列的產品。與P45主板相比P43減少了一個PCI-E x16的插槽，取而代之的則是PCI-E x1插槽， 因此交火功能也被取消支持。據此推斷，二者或多或少在規格上都較為接近。
DFI規劃中的780G主板也有部分信息被洩露。這款產品採用了AMD 780G和SB700雙芯片設計，提供一個PCI-E x16插槽和一個PCI插槽。南橋擴展支持6個SATA接口，6個USB接口，板載另外4個USB擴展位置，千兆網卡和7.1聲道音頻輸出功能。
看來DFI在研究一種新定位的主板產品，目標群體就是那些即想要更簡潔的游戲系統，又想要高端主板的人。當然，P45芯片不能與X48相抗衡，但是對于那些想要尋求M-ATX主板又能支持交火系統的人來說，它也算的上是一個很不錯的選擇。
