The new 40nm production process allows notebook manufacturers to deliver more graphics horsepower in a smaller ASIC die size, giving the end-user access to highly capable discrete graphics inside smaller notebooks.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4830 and HD 4860 graphics solutions are based on the code-named M97/RV740 chip that features 640 stream processors, 32 texture units, 16 render back ends and 128-bit GDDR3/GDDR4/GDDR5 memory controller. The new graphics chips can operate at relatively high speeds without breaking thermal budget and deliver rather high performance. Functionality of the novelties is very similar compared to their desktop brethren, e.g., they support DirectX 10.1 and OpenGL 3.0 feature-sets, hardware-accelerated high-definition video playback and so on.

文中也有提到 華碩將會最先生產出搭載此一新系列繪圖晶片產品的NB
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4860 graphics solution will be featured in the forthcoming Asus K notebook.

HD 4830原來將會成為是NB用的型號了呀;x;

第一批40nm的卡, 耗電控制應該很不賴!!
倒是那張4860竟然比4850型號還高,
是不是來殺自己的大哥的哈哈~

型號阿...4860&4850
而且說不定4860還強一點, 4850 core/ram 550/750
,4860 650/1000, 頻寬 4850 48.0gb/s,
4860 64.0gb/s, 這就跟最近發佈的4770是一樣意思.
相信廠商都是以型號來決定性能的, 4860可能略贏或者跟4850差不多吧~

有可能, 而且根據對岸網站的深入報導, 樣品是搭配5G的GDDR5, 所以理論值可以達到1250mhz,
等效就是所謂的5g, 原廠只給1000所以表示可超性很強, 如果超到1250,
那頻寬就是80gb/s了哈哈, 已經徹底幹掉4850了, 不難理解為何叫做4860, 因為頻寬是超過4850了!!
