PowerISO 是一款強大的 CD/DVD 映像文件處理工具。它可以建立，編輯，解壓，轉換，壓縮，加密和分割 ISO/BIN 映像文件。
內建虛擬光驅可以加載映像文件實時運行。最重要的是，壓縮的文件可以在不解壓的情況下直接使用。
PowerISO 掛載daa映像檔所需的虛擬光碟軟體。
網路上下載的遊戲和大型軟件很多都是 daa 格式的映像檔(因為其壓縮比高, 檔相對的小)，這些檔案用 Daemon tools 是沒辦法開啟的，這時候就需要PowerISO
PowerISO支持ISO,BIN,NRG,IMG,MDF,等幾乎所有常見的映像檔案。
支持右鍵選單直接將檔案或資料夾製作成ISO檔，相當方便。

通常 PC 要有 WinISO 或 UltraISO 之類 映像檔製作轉檔軟件， PowerISO 己有它們的功能。
通常 PC 要有 Alcohol 酒精 或 Daemon tools 之類虛擬光驅軟件，PowerISO 己有它們的功能。
它可以將各檔組合分割成多片壓縮檔，可加入密碼，解壓時組合成一檔或 1 folder，如同 WinRAR 同樣用法。
因此它也是和 WinRAR 或 Winzip 一般的壓縮軟件。
也就是說可以省去安裝多個軟件了。
