the issue is that the CPUs are limited to a frequency / multiplier and this is on both (retail and es).

i had now enough 2500K ES... some can do max. x46 and some max x48 mulitplier, all over the max won´t boot into windows (freeze at the boot screen).

only the 2600K what i had can do more, this run max. x51 multiplier.

gotcha.
so the best bang will be still on 2600k for sure..:)

i5 2500k 原廠出貨預設時脈是多少啊 ? i5 2500k是1155腳位裡的最低入門款嗎 ?
也是跟現在的i5一樣會渦輪加速嗎 ? 聽硬體區那邊說1155推出時會售價跟現在的1156差不多價錢用來取代1156 可是看這裡有人說1155可能會賣到1萬以上 !!! 這樣是入門款嗎 ??? ＯＲＺ

Ok, it seems that the multiplier isn´t the problem. if i lower the BCLK i can reach a higher multiplier (max. frequency which my CPU can reach is ~4790MHz)
