不過現在是怎樣 連250GB都改成有PMR;0a155537;
反而這段
StableTrac? - 馬達軸兩端被固定，以減低由系統引起的震動，並在讀寫時穩定磁碟盤，確保尋道精確。
（只限 750 GB）

印象中PMR技術只是提高單位面積資料儲存量，增加密度減少碟盤數(降成本)對硬碟效能沒有絕對關係。起初單碟250G的750AAKS有用PMR技術，可能是新技術先用在當時最高階硬碟上吧？所以如果說目前WD生產250GB/單碟以上的硬碟，全部變成PMR也不奇怪，如果同一工廠生產兩種不同的250GB單碟還比較麻煩吧！
所以推論原本只有750G先用PMR，經過過渡期後就變成全部PMR了(純屬臆測)。當然事實可能要WD自己回覆吧！就數據看來，效能跟PMR無關，但是如上所述，很多消費者在乎自己買的是不是PMR硬碟，可惜硬碟外觀又無標示
