Actually these settings are all applicable on most asus c2d boards
let 's go through these:
First of all, we offten see a problem when you overclock fail then after press the reset button, the post screen stop at IDS device scan for a while.
Then you need to config the delay time for the IDE.
30 will be the ideal number to set.:ocx28:
about the OC part for CPU parameters:
Do not change the CPU Vid CMOS setting and Micro code update.
others you can all disable them.
About the ram, the primary timings you see are all depends on how far your memory can go.
but for the RMS(refresh rate, I prefer using 15.6 instead of 7.8mu-s
A very basic idea here;
if you are doing bench mark especially floating point calculation such as super pi ,
you don't wanna plug in too much multimedia devices or whatever the COM ports.
At the system monitor IC report section here; the Q-fan setting had better sut it down or just choose to ignore them,
even sometimes if you are using high vocre, then you can disable the vcore reading.
Sometimes if you got some errors and just wanna ignore them,
you can disable this "shwing f1 for reminder function.
after you completely understand all those settings.
We will moved on some real example for how to set the memset 3.0 for some primary timings under windows.
