hi all, as promise,
I know some friends just walk from AMD to the "dark side":D
No wonder, same as my first time, I have no idea how the intel gonna work;
I am kinda lucky that I got "Victor Wang"
walked me through all the hassles I could have.
Here are some simple pictures I took from my BIOS screen; hope this helps
First of all; this is when you set the jumper on the configure mode; please leave at what you see
here:
Now, on the main tab page shows here; the setting like this will give you ram:cpu for 1:1; the real
OC page is not from here yet.
Please remember to disable this cpuid value limit.;)
well, here we go, this section is what you need though;)
let's start from CPU and Chipset:
Again, for the first part, leave as what you see here but you can set any vcore you want up to
1.6v.;)
for the lower section, be careful for the OC percentage, it will NOT just OC your CPU,
be sure that you set your memory properly on next page, or your system WON'T boot
I promise you;); also for the MCH Voltage, if you are not high fsb freak, 1.65v and FSB 1.395v
would do it very good up to 500mhz ~525mhz for me already;)
well, this part is the most confused part. Some users ask me; "so what can I set for this..I wanna
x:x...weii, now, think about this, if Conroe fsb is 1066mhz, and you set your ram 533mhz
regardless it's 667mhz or whatever rated...it's all counted as 1:1, if you set your ram as 667mhz
here, that would be 4:5, but be careful, when you set your ram running faster than your cpu, and
you also set host burn in percentage for whatever number is, be sure your memory can handle
what you set for it.
I hope this simple guide would help those people who just new to intel.
